When we plan with our clients, we’ve noticed some consistency with their questions. In an effort to be helpful to our blog readers, we’ll tackle a popular question or two for you every so often!

Q:  Do I need to provide a favor?

A:  If you don’t have one, your guests won’t miss it!  If you’re looking for items to take out of your wedding budget, this is a great place to start.

Q:  If my budget allows and I would like to provide a favor, what would you suggest?

A:  We’ve noticed that the best favors are usually edible.  Non-edible favors often get left behind at the venue.  A few chocolates or other candy, cookies, nuts, caramel apples, or popcorn treats become a second dessert option and are always a big hit with guests.  One of my personal favorites was a fancy little container of breath mints, with the couple’s names and “Mint to Be” printed on the label. Although not a dessert, who doesn’t appreciate some mints for their pocket or purse?  Special entertainment or activities can make great favors too, such as a photo booth, caricature artists, cigar roller, or magician.
