We hosted a small event just a few weeks ago in the mansion’s new 2nd level Parlor for a “Stock the Bar” Couple’s Shower.  We used a rustic wine theme, which would be an awesome theme for many events at Loose Mansion, including rehearsal dinners and receptions!

Table décor included a mix of wicker balls, corks, lanterns, mason jars, chalkboard risers, and lots and lots of candlelight.  Ivory, black and deep purple linens added to the effect, and we also provided signage in the mansion’s antique gold frames for displays.  With our décor selections, flowers were not chosen or needed, but you could certainly add some “pops” of fresh floral.  I could see ivory or “wine” colored choices … you couldn’t go wrong with some hydrangea, garden roses or dahlias!

With a theme like this, it’s fun to extend it to the food!  We served a display of light appetizers, including a mix of our favorite crostini’s with various toppings and our Antipasto Romanesque Display (sliced prosciutto and ham, genoa salami, fresh mozzarella, marinated artichokes, grilled asparagus, roasted tomatoes, roasted red peppers, marinated mushrooms, balsamic roasted onions and Greek olives served with sliced baguettes).  We also served a small Cheeses of the World Display (an assortment of imported and domestic cheeses garnished with grapes, berries, and crackers).  If you want to “dress it up” a bit for a rehearsal dinner or wedding reception, it would be fun to preset the tables for a full dinner event using gold flatware and serving something like: Chicken Satimbocca (Chicken with Prosciutto, Sage and Wild Mushroom Sauce), Balsamic Marinated and Grilled Asparagus, and Tomato Basil Orzo!  Yum!!!

Below are a few images that we snapped on our phones that evening!
