I have a few Spring event ideas to share with you!  Starting with decor … use shades of grey and orange!  Such great colors to use for any event!  We had fun using these colors at our Spring Tasting Party for our clients a couple weeks ago, and received many compliments during the evening.  We alternated table linens, using white tablecloths with light grey napkins and grey tablecloths with white napkins.  We pulled lanterns, little silver cake plateaus, clear glass items and little bud vases from our storage rooms and varied the centerpieces.  For less than $200, we also added white hydrangea, orange tulips, white garden roses, white ranunculus and hanging amaranths.  And, this cost even included some orange organza chair ties on some chairs!  Organza chair ties add a romantic feel as well as a “pop” of color where needed!

Décor is great, but dessert is better!  For our growing number of clients looking for something different than traditional wedding cakes, Loose Mansion has recently expanded our dessert options and they’ve been a huge hit!  These include Flambé Stations (Bananas Foster, Cherries Jubilee and Georgia Peach), a Chocolate Fondue Bar, a S’mores Station, a tiered display with various mini pies or cupcakes, and a Berry Shortcake Bar!  The Berry Shortcake Bar was featured at this last Tasting.  I was fortunate to enjoy this then, and then again at my brother’s Rehearsal Dinner last week!  Delish!  This display includes sponge cake, fresh sliced strawberries, a trio of seasonal berries, cinnamon, fresh mint and the most incredible homemade whipped cream and vanilla crème anglaise ever!  This light dessert is a perfect choice after a large meal and I think especially fitting for Spring and Summer events!
